There are two kinds of kayaks available: single-person kayaks and tandem (two-person) kayaks. Participant must be at least 12 years of age to use a single-person kayak. Participants as young as 6 years old are welcome to join us, but they must be accompanied in a tandem kayak with an adult.
Parties with children will have priority for use of the tandem kayaks.
We have received a few questions about the weight limit for the program. For a single-person kayak, the weight limit would be 350 pounds. For a tandem (2-person) kayak, the limit is 375-425 lbs.
